Following Luaka Bop's release of Who Is William Onyeabor?, a 13-track compilation of the elusive Nigerian 70s/80s electro-funk virtuoso, earlier this year, the label have got together with Moog, the analogue synth manufacturer, to commission a series of remixes. It comes after Moog got wind that Onyeabor was selling their products in his home country, and he's now been honoured with two signature models - full details are here, and watch a video introducing the project below - and sees a stack of musicians and producers, including John Talabot, James Holden and Optimo, among others reworking his tracks. Today, we've got a first spin of Scientist's remix of 'Body & Soul' - have a listen below, and head to Luaka Bop to get hold of the album:
