Rose Elinor Dougall has made another track from her forthcoming Future Vanishes EP available for streaming, and we've got it below. 'Poison Ivy' is excellent, waltzing pop with the kind of dark melancholic edge that has always been there in Dougall's songwriting, and of the tune Rose says, "this song was actually written about two-and-a-half years ago, and has always felt like an important song for me. It is about jealousy, possession, power, battling ones weaknesses, trying to save love from ugliness... Also its a waltz which is an underrated time signature! Oli Bayston produced it, with some arrangement from Anthony Rossomando. It also features Panda from Toy on bass, and Liam Hutton on drums. It is the second track on my forthcoming EP, Future Vanishes, which comes out on YOU records on the 18th of November. I'm excited as this will be my first physical release since Without Why." Have you ever been tempted to use poison ivy on anyone? "I tend to look for more effective ways of making my point than viciously brandishing foliage, but there is some in Abney Park Cemetery which is near where i live, so you never know!" Rose Elinor Dougall plays the Sebright Arms, London on November 19th, tickets here.
