LISTEN: Melvins – City Dump

First spin of track from the band's upcoming album Tres Cabrones

As reported in our feature with the Melvins’ Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover earlier this year, where they talked us through the ace covers album Everybody Loves Sausages they released in April, they’ve got a second album on the way for 2013.

Tres Cabrones is out on November 4 on Ipecac Recordings, and will be the first official release to feature the band’s original drummer Mike Dillard (previously only heard on early recordings LP Mangled Demos From 1983), with current drummer Crover picking up the bass for the record, for a set of tracks taking in brand new material and a revisit to Mangled…‘s ‘Walter’. We’ve got a first play (though eagle-eared listeners may have already heard the track on this summer’s Gaylord EP) of LP cut ‘City Dump’, a typically juddering slice of guitars dredged from the sewers and rock-solid drumming – have a listen below:
