Comanechi, the London noise-punk trio behind You Owe Me Nothing But Love, one of our albums of the year so far, have got together with fellow sonic-corroders, Birmingham four-piece Female Smell for a split 7", ‘H.A.T.E.’/’Payday Loans’, out on DLPR Records on October 8, when they’ll be launching it with a show at London’s Birthdays (get hold of tickets here). We’ve got an exclusive first spin of the two tracks – have a listen below:
The two cuts make for a potent onslaught, with Comanechi getting some reinforcement from Mark Trencher of none-gnarlier Palehorse, all housed in a sleeve (see above), that’s fittingly fashioned in "bubblegum pink and slime green ‘puke and piss’ laser cut artwork, pressed on banana yellow transparent vinyl with carrot chunk lettering". If you fancy getting hold of a copy, you’ll have to act quick; there are only 250 copies of the vinyl, but it’ll be out on digital as well. Go to DLPR’s website to pre-order.
