Obviously I like techno, but I like techno with an organic element to it, which is what they're really good at. I like that, just as with TG, they had their instruments made to create the sounds that they wanted. I wonder what came first - the homemade instruments or the sounds in their heads. I met them and found them quite intriguing as a couple. They worked together a lot and produced this amazing music, and I think they must have had a great friendship at some point, but they were definitely united through their music more so than personalities. They came across as seeming quite eccentric and on their own path. You don't hear of a lot of music coming out of Finland, and I'd like to know the story of how they broke out. They've got I don't know how many records, but there seems to be a common thread going through, and this is the first part of an investigative approach to what their music is about, and that goes hand-in-hand to getting their own instruments made. I'd like to have a conversation with them to find out whether they had an agenda from the start, or whether it just grew with them.
