Gustavo Santaolalla - Babel soundtrack
I think this record is phenomenal. I'd never even heard of Santaolalla before. I don't even remember the movie, I was just listening to the music. It's so stunning. There's something about it, when you put it on your headphones, you just start flying! Suddenly you're a bird, flying over this desolate landscape, over barren ground. That's what I experience when I listen to this music, it's a trip.

I love the old Sufi poets Hafez and Rumi - poets who would spin and spin and spin around for hours and hours to reach a state of bliss, to be closer to God - and this is the perfect soundtrack for reading their work. It's beautiful.
