Moonface, the current guise of the hyper-prolific former Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Fifths Of Seven, Frog Eyes and Swan Lake man Spencer Krug, has announced that he’ll be releasing his new album, Julia With Blue Jeans On, on October 28 via Jagjaguwar.
It’s a far cry from his last outing, 2012’s Heartbreaking Bravery, which he recorded with grandiose Finnish motorik merchants Siinai, being a "self-described love record" which finds Krug performing on his own, accompanied solely by a piano. We’ve got a first taste of the record, ‘Everyone Is Noah, Everyone Is The Ark’, a charged track that covers huge distance in just over three minutes, wrung through with Krug’s knack for a songwriterly hook – have a listen below:
