Watch first video to be taken from long-running crew's new album

As we've previously announced, long-running Sheffield electronic post-rock crew 65daysofstatic are set to release their new album Wild Light on September 16th via Superball Music. We're now pleased to be able to offer you the first chance to hear music from the album, in the shape of 'Prisms', which you can listen to via the video embed above. It finds them on characteristic, glitch-ridden form, opening with a series of scattered blips and blasts of interference before soaring to a huge, gliding crescendo.

Say the band: "We’re delighted to issue the first audio analgesic from Wild Light into your ears! 'Prisms' is the outcome of 65daysofstatic smashing itself into a million pieces and reassembling itself in the dark. We tried to write sad dance music to be danced to at the end of the world, a possibility that seems increasingly likely. Thanks for listening!"
