WIN: Lydia Lunch & RetroVirus Tickets

We've got a pair of tickets to give away to Lunch's gig at London's Borderline next Monday

This coming Monday, August 19, no wave pioneer Lydia Lunch will be bringing her band RetroVirus to London for a show at The Borderline.

The date comes on the heels of shows she did with the band, comprising a host of noise-mongers – guitarist Weasel Walter, former Swans man Algis Kizys on bass and Sonic Youth associate, drummer Bob Bert – in the U.S. last year, which trawled her back catalogue work with Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, 13.13, 8-Eyed Spy, Shotgun Wedding and solo material, and have now produced their own album, a mixture of abrasive reinterpretations of others’ tracks alongside some visceral original cuts – watch them perform Retro Virus‘s version of Alice Cooper’s ‘Black JuJu’ below:

You can get hold of tickets for the show, which has ace support from Comanechi and Teenage Mothers, here and stay tuned to the site for a Baker’s Dozen with Lunch in the near future.

HOWEVER! We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away – to be in with a chance of winning, e-mail your answer to the following question to comps@thequietus.com, with LUNCH in the subject line, by 10 a.m. on Monday 19 August. To read the Quietus Competition terms & conditions, click here.
