As we’ve previously reported, Grumbling Fur, the collaboration between Guapo’s Daniel O’Sullivan and imbogodom’s Alexander Tucker, are set to release their new album Glynnaestra on July 22 via Thrill Jockey, and we can vouch that it is an exceedingly brilliant album. By means of demonstration, have a listen to ‘Dancing Light’ from the record below:

The label describes it as an "avant-pop" record, and ‘Dancing Light’ plays heavy on the latter genre, with a vocal harmony motif that finds O’Sullivan and Tucker’s voices soaring over droning electronics and a circular drum beat, forging something that should rightly be bothering the upper regions of the charts.

The duo will be playing with Charlemagne Palestine over two nights at Cafe Oto in Dalston from June 14-15, the second of which will feature a live collaboration between the two. For more details and tickets, head here, and have a read of our recent interview with Palestine here.
