Michael Jackson - Off The Wall
TW: It was great because, unlike the Jackson 5, where you could tell their spirit was always quashed into some pop radio format, this one had all the spirit there. It was brilliantly arranged and the production was clean and not whitewashed. It was soulful and it had such a beautiful quality to it. I was so very happy to be listening to that music. We had loft parties in Long Island City and had to replace that album a couple of times when the DJ would make off with it.

CF: When I think of it, I think of one song, ‘Don’t Stop ‘til You Get Enough’. There are many good songs on that record but that’s the one that stands out for me. It’s just a perfect dance song. We never met Michael Jackson, but I did meet Quincy Jones a couple of times, and he was a real cool cat.
