Quietus Launch New Music Tumblr
The Quietus , January 15th, 2013 08:46

We're launching a rolling Tumblr archive to gather together our new music coverage into one handy place for ease of reading and listening. Read more for details...

At the Quietus we pride ourselves on our new music coverage. In fact, we’d go so far as to say that very few places on the web (if any) cover such a wide range of upcoming and underground artists, or speak to them in as much depth as we do. In 2012 alone our new music features - under the header Escape Velocity - traveled everywhere from bedroom studios to pirate radio airwaves, lucky Soundcloud discoveries to CDs passed to us at gigs, scorching psychedelic rock to brutalist basement techno, acoustic songwriting to John Carpenter-esque horror electronica.

So as one of the things we're doing to mark the Quietus' fifth year, we’ve decided to put together a quick and concise rolling new music digest on Tumblr, which gathers together reviews, features and track streams from new artists we’re covering on the site that are worth your time and attention. It’ll be updated regularly, keeping a continually shifting feed of features and reviews to read, and tracks to stream, presented in a fashion that’s simpler than having to head to each separate section on the Quietus site. To kickstart it, we've gathered together favourite new music features of 2012, plus scan further down the page for a few other recent featured artists.

Click here to browse through the Quietus New Music Tumblr site. Hopefully it’s both enjoyable and useful - any feedback via Twitter, Facebook or email is always appreciated. And feel free to Tweet, retweet, Facebook, blog, re-blog, or re-re-blog it to your heart's content.
