'Headhunter' video now online!

At this past weekend's Independent Label Market, I was chuffed to pick up at the PIAS stall their recent reissue of Front 242's Front By Front, which of course features One Of The Greatest Songs Of All Time, 'Headhunter'. Even better, they've just made public the video for the track, by the great Anton Corbijn. Rumour has it that the director misheard the track title as 'egghunter', which explains the grainy footage of a fruity lady being chased around wearing an egg on her head, eggs falling, and so on. For more on PIAS Recordings 30 year anniversary and their vinyl reissues, please visit their website.

Tune! Anyone who doesn't agree that this is undoubtedly One of The Greatest Songs of All Time needs their pulse checking, stat.

thanks for the video, but wouldn't it be time for a little more in depth writing about a label that has been taken to court by so many of their bands and now celebrates its anniversary with more rereleases of some of those bands.... just a suggestion.

Speaking as someone who has 242 in their top three acts, anyone who's done hard time in EBM clubs and doesn't think "Headhunter" is overrated (overplayed at best) has a either a remarkably short-term memory or an iron constitution that most be proud to call their own. You're probably the ones responsible for "The Bog" selling so many copies.

I was going to say the same thing, but figured one cranky comment was enough for this post. (But yeah, what's next, endorsing Stevo at Some Bizarre?)

I would however love to see a Stevo interview in The Quietus.
