Tjinder Singh's band launch their claim for seasonal chart-topping

Yea, Christmas is but 50 days away now, and to inaugurate the onset of the festive season Cornershop have given us a first listen of their new seasonal single, 'Every Year So Different' (artwork above), featuring Angharad of Welsh avant-pop duo Trwbador:

Cornershop originally had a Christmas single featuring Sinead O'Connor, though when the track was premiered, the Irish songstrel decided pulled out of joining in combat against [INSERT X-FACTOR WINNER'S NAME HERE], leading instead to the festive treat we have here, out via Ample Play on December 3.

The text accompanying the release tells us that the song "simply states that Christmas may be here once a year but given what can happen in 365 days, and as we grow, it is never the same at the end of any year. To accompany the smoke-filled chimneys of the Welsh Valleys are northern brass, Italian strings, and human funk.

It also marks the first track in the second series of Cornershop's Singhles Club, a set of six new tracks by Cornershop and Friends, which you can buy individually or in a £6-for-6 tracks bundle, through the band's website here.
