'Palace Pavillion', taken from new album

As we previously reported, Dean Blunt of Hype Williams is set to release a new solo album entitled The Narcissist III at some point in the future. It marks the follow up to the second Narcissist, a free mixtape he put out via Soundcloud. There's scant info about when it's likely to actually arrive, though he previously offered listeners a preview in the way of a brief, sketch-like track entitled 'Flaxen'.

Now the band's spiritual advisor Denna Glass has once again emailed to inform us that another new track from the upcoming album is on Soundcloud, entitled 'Palace Pavillion' - you can listen to it below. This one is even briefer, a very slight, if pretty, piano sketch that doesn't offer any great clue as to the overall shape of the record. From the previews we've had thus far, and both Blunt and partner-in-crime Inga Copeland's commitment to shifting the shape of their music on a regular basis, it's probably worth expecting The Narcissist III to be a step away again from their previous material. For those not particularly familiar with their other music, we'd strongly recommend checking out the duo's album Black Is Beautiful, which was released earlier this year through Hyperdub.
