The Ramones – It's Alive
It's the only compilation I've gone for, if you'll excuse me, but only because trying to find my favourite Ramones album is next to impossible. I saw The Ramones a few times and I never had a bad gig. It was just awesome. They were just awesome. They just came out and thrashed for an hour and a half and it was just fantastic. They did a lot of cover versions, I remember them doing 'Let's Dance'. I remember them supported by another band which I loved called The Boys, who had songs called 'Brick Filled Nights' and 'Terminal Love', I went to see them about three times. I've still got my leather jacket. It's one of my proudest possessions. It's decorated with lots of studs and badges, and scars from gigs. I plan to go to my grave in my leather jacket, that and my mohair jumper that my mother knitted to my own peculiar design, despite the fact that she was not a fan of punk rock or my behaviour, but she graciously knitted the jumper that was much envied by many people.
