Gotan Project - La Revancha del Tango
The last one would be what I listen to now to chill out to. It would be one of two albums by the Gotan Project, probably the first album. I got into it when I was hanging out in Paris and ended up listening to it and it’s pleasant music to smoke cigars to. You wouldn’t think tango could be so popular. I love tango as an art form. Often when I fly home, I stop off in Buenos Aires and I just go to these cafés so I can watch all these slinky bodies do this weird sort of mating ritual called the tango. It’s kind of a revolutionary dance form and I just like to listen to this and smoke my cigar, that’s my kick. I love the tango thing and I think they do that the best, they dub it up, they put a bit of that here and there, and I don’t know, it’s really simple. Half the time its grooving and you’re dancing and there’s no fucking drums to it. That’s amazing. Beautiful, passionate music and great escapist music.
