Thom Yorke Remixes SBTRKT?

Remix of SBTRKT by unnamed producer SiSi BakBak rumoured to be by Radiohead frontman - listen below

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is rumoured to have taken on a new moniker, SiSi BakBak, for a remix of masked garage producer SBTRKT's new single 'Hold On'. You can listen to the remix, a rather nice, jittery funky house bounce, below. The rumours apparently started from an announcement on US radio station KEXP 90.3 FM, who premiered the remix last week, which said the remix was by an artist playing a local venue soon (Radiohead's US tour is calling there in April). Rob Da Bank also recently tweeted that he was listening to a remix of SBTRKT by Yorke, adding further fuel to the rumour mill.

Listening to the mix, it does bear certain Yorke-ish traits - in particular the tiny, wordless fragments of vocal that loop across its surface, which do so in a Radiohead-esque fashion, rather than sounding like something Todd Edwards might have made. The jury's still out, but have a listen below and decide for yourself. The 'Hold On' single is available digitally from today and as a limited edition 12" from May 7th (rather a long wait wait, leaving time for preorders).
