Clark releases his new album Iradelphic, his first since 2009’s Totems Flare, through Warp on 2nd April.
Chris Clark has been developing his own take on rhythmically tricky, colour-saturated electronic music for over a decade now, peaking with 2006’s lovely, airy Body Riddle and the thrashy and rude broken techno of 2008’s Turning Dragon. The live-sounding instrumentation and staccato rhythms of Iradelphic‘s ‘The Pining Part 2’, which you can listen to below, suggest that this new album finds him as stylistically restless as ever.
Clark has also announced details of the launch party for Iradelphic, which will take place at London’s Village Underground on 7th April. It features Clark live, alongside Nathan Fake and Letherette, with Ghost Box’s Julian House providing visuals.
