Rinse FM and FWD>> are taking over London’s fabric on Boxing Day for one of their massive parties, in celebration of the end of one of the London radio station’s best years yet. As well as continuing to support the more underground ends of UK dance music, this year Rinse associates Skream and Katy B have both continued to gain mainstream attention (the latter’s On A Mission was one of our albums of the year).
The party on December 26th features practically every DJ from the station over the course of the evening. Advance tickets are close to selling out, though as usual with fabric there are likely to be some left on the door. More information available at the Rinse site.
In advance of his appearance at fabric, Rinse are giving away Brackles’ broken house/funky remix of Serani’s ‘No Games’ – you can download it here. As well as DJing Thursday 3-5pm on Rinse, Brackles has been one of the key players in the shift from dubstep into slower, more house influenced sounds, both through his own productions and as co-head of the Blunted Robots label. He recently released an EP, No. 1, through Rinse, with more material to come next year.
