Metallica To Play Black Album @ Download '12

Metallica - the Raoul Moat of stadium metal - have followed up releasing their 11th best album by announcing that they're going to play their sixth best album in its entirety.

The band are headlining Download 2012 to celebrate its tenth birthday. Let's hope they don't get confused and try and sue everyone in the audience.

Co-founder and drummer Lars Ulrich says “Six years is way toooo long to be away from the hallowed grounds of Donington Park. We are beyond psyched and feel privileged to come back once again to soak up the energy and vibe of the most legendary of festival sites.”

The band, who decided not to play the astounding Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets or the simply excellent Kill 'Em All or ...And Justice For All will probably follow this up by releasing a 3 hour long album of Belgian folk songs with The Thompson Twins... I mean, why the fuck not? They're old millionaires who don't give a fuck... what's stopping them?
