After their joint concert at Wroclaw's European Culture Congress, Polish composer and Radiohead guitarist record album together

Last week, the Quietus flew to Poland's fascinating European Culture Congress to see Krzysztof Penderecki in concert alongside Aphex Twin and Jonny Greenwood. According to Radiohead fan site The King Of Limbs Part 2, Penderecki and Greenwood then recorded an album together afterwards in association with Poland's National Audiovisual Institute. The album is apparently due to see release through Nonesuch Records.

Penderecki is one of Poland's most famous modern composers. The pieces 'Polymorphia' and 'Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima', among his harshest and most dissonant work, formed the basis for Aphex Twin and Greenwood's own interpretations of his music.

Someone a couple of rows in front of us at the concert recorded video of Greenwood's take on Penderecki's music - watch below.
