Johnny Yesno & Blood Music At Quietus Gig

With My Disco on Thursday

If the prospect of a Quietus pop concert headlined by punk rock minimal techno artistes My Disco, opened by German spiderers PTTRNS, and featuring a DJ set from Factory Floor wasn’t enough, then we have news for you. We’re delighted to confirm that new London group Blood Music will also being playing The Lexington this Thursday, September 15th. We asked them to play after three different people we consider wise in the ways of song said they were the best guitar group they’d heard in ages. A Soundcloud of a recent demo can be heard below. What’s more, Mute dropped us a line to ask if we might like to screen scenes from the much-anticipated box set release of the original and remake of Peter Care’s Johnny Yesno, originally soundtracked by Cabaret Voltaire. How could we refuse? Factory Floor will be DJing as the film plays between the bands. Doors at 20.00, and you can buy tickets at the cheap advance price of £8 here. Thanks also to Luke and John of Heretic Printmakers, who have done us a fantastic screen print poster for the night. A sample can be seen below, and you can find more work from Heretic here. See you Thursday.
