It probably comes as no surprise to learn that Elbow are partial to a jar or two of real ale, and are imminently to launch their own beer. The band have teemed up with the Robinsons Brewery in Stockport to create the ale, which they came up with after making a visit to the establishment – see the photos of their trip here and here. Apparently "Band members sampled a range of Robinsons’ ales to shortlist their preferred style of beer, taste and colour before deciding on a golden ale with a rich rounded body, smooth bitterness, subtle tang of malt and fruity aroma. Elbow’s ale will be a golden premium session bitter at 4.0% ABV, available in cask only." Sip sip! The band say they "can’t wait for you to try a pint." Build A Rocket Boys ale will be available at selected Robinsons pubs this autumn.
