It won’t be any great shock to regular readers of The Quietus that we’re excited about the new Battles single, which features none other than Gary Numan. ‘My Machines’ is taken from their new album Gloss Drop – which scored highly on our list of the best albums of 2011 so far – and will be released on August 15. As Mr Numan says of the track: "Working with Battles was an easy choice for me. They have a unique approach to making music and a clear idea of what they want. They are inventive, adventurous, unpredictable and I’m proud to be involved."
