Brett Anderson Announces New Solo Album

Seb Rochford features on "noisy" record

The Quietus is currently very excited about going to see Suede play Dog Man Star tonight as the group continue to make a good fist of their reformation. But there’s now news of what might be happening after that, as Brett Anderson confirms details of a new solo album. After the more introspective recent records, he says that these will be noisier affairs, with Brett playing with a full band. Anderson will release the none-more-Anderson titled Black Rainbows via EMI. Intriguing, the record features big-haired Panda Bear drummer Seb Rochford. According to Anderson, the album is "restless, noisy and dynamic. Electric guitars, bass, drums and vocals – no flute players, no strings, no gimmicks, just passion". It will be preceded by single ‘Brittle Heart’ on August 15th.
