ONEIDA Complete Their 'Parents Triology
Luke Turner , May 3rd, 2011 13:23

Final part out this June

Oneida have long been a key part of the firmament on which much of the American leftfield rests - without them, arguably, we would have no Liars. Yet they've often been curiously ignored, getting on with creating rumblings in the belly of the beast while other, lesser groups have their fancy spires and gaudy accoutrements praised in their stead. But what eruptions shall be heard when Oneida release the final instalment of their Thank Your Parents triptych of records on June 6th. Absolute II will follow the mighty Preteen Weaponry and Quietus favourite Rated O... and when that circuit is completed, who knows what powers will be released? CERN ain't got nothing on it. You can listen to a track from the new record here and, as others have rightly pointed out, it doesn't half sound like Suicide exploring a nuclear storage cave in 134,000 years. On October 1st 2010 Oneida will take their Ocropolis studio to ATP I'll Be Your Mirror in New York. Listen to their celebration of the Ocropolis mix on the Quietus Mixcloud here.
