The Quietus has some fine news to bring you this morning. In conjunction with our mighty big sister paper, The Stool Pigeon, we’ll be curating a Ja Ja Ja show at The Lexington on February 24.
We’ll be joined by Kellermensch, Årabrot and Deathcrush: three fine practitioners of Nordic music who we’re all very pleased to be bringing to the UK because they’re brilliant… and very heavy. Ja Ja Ja February Night by JaJaJaMusicDeathcrush have been friends of The Stool Pigeon for some time and things appear to be just taking off for them as they’re soon to set off on tour with Sleigh Bells. Kellermensch have been on the Quietus radar for over a year, and here is our feature on them from last February.
And finally anyone who has been paying any attention to either publication over the last two years will know how we feel about Årabrot. They are one of the finest rock bands of the last few years and featured highly in our albums of the year list in 2010 with Revenge.
