Earth, Void Ov Voices and more for stage next year

Next year Sunn O))) are curating a stage at the Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Holland. And that most doom of philosophers, the late M. Michel Foucault, has thrown the finest claw we have yet seen to celebrate the fact that he will be able to see the robed troupe alongside Atilla Csihar's Void Ov Voices, Winter, Scorn, Earth, Aluk Todolo, Menace Ruine, Beaver, Hooded Menace and Secret at the festival, which takes place on April 15th 2011.

As he raised his left hand from thee void, Foucault said the following of the thinking behind the Sunn O))) line-up: "I dream of the intellectual destroyer of evidence and universalities, the one who, in the inertias and constraints of the present, locates and marks the weak spots, the openings, the lines of power, who incessantly displaces himself, doesn't know exactly where he is heading nor what he'll think tomorrow because he is too attentive to the present."

Said Sunn O))) themselves: "SUNN O))) is honored to present the first part of our guests for the curated day at Roadburn, April 15th 2011. They represent a broad range of bands we are fans of, and in many cases some of our closest friends and collaborators. We hope you appreciate the selection, and look forward to announcing more of our selection and allies..."
