Brightonians hit American label

We're very pleased to reveal that one of our favourite new bands, Esben & The Witch, have signed to the esteemed Matador label. Esben, who will be the first British group on the label in years, will release limited 12" 'Marching Song' on October 11th just in time for their first trip around the United States. This will include a set at Matador's 21st birthday party in The Palms, Las Vegas. After their mammoth US tour, Esben will play a London date for Eat Your Own Ears at Electrowerkz in London on November 10th. 'Marching Song' is backed by two new tracks, 'Done Because We Are Too Menny' and 'Souvenirs'. Read our August 2009 Escape Velocity feature with the band here, and watch the video for 'Marching Song' here. And why not check out their mix they did for tQ in honour of their stellar afternoon appearance on our stage at Field Day.
