Guitarist Phelps ‘Catfish’ Collins has died of cancer aged 66.

The musician, who played with James Brown’s band The J.B.’s, Parliament and Funkadelic as well as his younger brother’s group (William ‘Bootsy’ Collins’ Rubber Band), passed away in his Cincinnati home last Friday.

According to Rolling Stone, Bootsy said in a statement: "My world will never be the same without him.

"Be happy for him, he certainly is now and always has been the happiest young fellow I ever met on this planet."
