Part Chimp, Sloath & Gum Takes Tooth Tonight At The Luminaire

The Quietus and The Stool Pigeon present an evening of righteous noise

Tonight, The Luminaire in Kilburn will bear witness to a great gathering of filthy minds, as some of the Quietus’ favourite bands come together to form a lineup which – though sadly no longer featuring Todd – will nonetheless be swinging from the rafters with distortion-fuelled abandon.

The gig, presented by the Quietus and its big sister paper The Stool Pigeon, will see appearances from three office favourites. Part Chimp, whose album Thriller was one of our hard rock records of 2009, will be headlining with their own brand of ultra-bombastic riffery.

Hot on their heels will be the punishingly down-tuned Sloath, whose self-titled debut is probably the best UK sludge album of the year so far, and a circuit-bent drum onslaught courtesy of Gum Takes Tooth.

Doors open at 7.30 and tickets are priced at £8. Get there early to enjoy the bracing tones of DJ sets from Hyper Black Bass and Drum Cunt.
