Rich Kids Hold Benefit Show

70's punks raise money for guitarist

Punk band Rich Kids held a benefit gig last night to raise money for terminally ill guitarist Steve New.

The band’s original line up of Midge Ure, Glen Matlock and Rusty Egan were joined by guests including Mick Jones, Tony James and Viv Albertine at the O2 Academy Islington.

New, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, also played with his current band Beastellabeast under the transvestite guise of Stella Nova.
