Jack White has spoken about his long-mooted solo album, for which he hinted he may record all the instruments himself.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the White Stripes frontman revealed that he was still planning on embarking on an individual project, although he was uncertain when it would be completed.
After he was asked if he still intended to record a solo album, White replied: "Eventually, yeah, for sure."
And when asked whether he would record all the instruments himself, he answered: "I’ve never done that. I thought about that. That might be the challenge – to differentiate from anything else that I’ve done."
However, he remained tight-lipped on his future plans for The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, adding: "It would be a mistake for me to premeditate anything, even in the next six months, to say what I’m going to do.
"I honestly could be working on a White Stripes [album] in the next two weeks. I have no idea if that is going to happen. And the same with The Dead Weather. I’d rather live like this without a calendar in front of me."
