New Interpol Album To Be “Orchestral”?

"Really classical" sound for new album, claims frontman

Interpol lead singer Paul Banks has revealed that the band’s new album has a "really classical" and "orchestral" sound.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, he said: "There’s some really classical stuff going on. [Bassist] Carlos [Dengler] has gone to total new levels of crazy sophisticated orchestration.

"What we’ve worked on is a real step forward and just very different and very relaxed in what we’re doing. It certainly doesn’t sound like anything we’ve ever done before, to me."

The record will be the follow-up to 2007’s Our Love To Admire.
