Band have 15 songs "on the go"

British Sea Power have revealed they are working on a new album and are working on at least 15 songs.

Following the success of their last album, the Mercury Music Prize nominated Do You Like Rock Music?, as well as their soundtrack to the silent film Man Of Aran, the band have stated in a blog post that they're working on material for a new record.

Guitarist Noble wrote: "We are well into recording and writing our fifth album, and have over 15 songs on the go.

"[Producer] Graham Sutton has moved into the rented farmhouse where [singer] Yan has been living the last year and it's all coming together piece by piece. We hand over bits of the jigsaw and Graham puts it together. The overall picture is slowly emerging."
