Former Pulp singer for Sunday slot on BBC 6 Music
Quietus hero Jarvis Cocker will host a new radio show on BBC 6 Music starting from next year.
The former Pulp frontman will take over Stephen Merchant's Sunday 3.30pm slot from January 2010.
Jarvis told Steve Lamacq: “I'm very much looking forward to it. I think Sunday afternoon's have got a special atmosphere, and I will be doing something that I think is appropriate to that - or maybe inappropriate, I don't know!
"It is my intention to fill these hours with as much dodgy opinion, crackpot theories, hare-brained schemes & beautiful, beautiful music as is humanly possible. I can't wait to get going."
