Orson Welles' Batman

Another of those projects, one that lends even more of a twinkle to a nerd’s eye, is the mid-40s Batman film Welles wanted to make with himself in the lead and, among others, Marlene Dietrich as Catwoman. Not until Ron Perlman in Hellboy would comic book adaptations feature a more perfect cast. It’s too bad this one had to remain imaginary.
