Liam Gallagher Apologises For V Cancellation

"I'm gutted", says singer

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has apologised for pulling out of his slot at this year’s V Festival.

The singer was advised to cancel the band’s scheduled performance at Chelmsford by doctors after he was diagnosed with laryngitis, but has now said sorry to the fans who had hoped to see the Manchester band.

Writing on Twitter, he said: "The voice may have disappeared but I’m still here. 1st things first. V, I’m gutted, you’re gutted. I’m sorry, what can I say – fuck all at the moment."

Gallagher also thanked Snow Patrol for filling in, adding: "Respect to those bands who covered for Oasis, even though I might have given some of you shit in the past."
