It's A Question Of Mime: Play The Quietus' Album Cover Quiz Game
The Quietus
, November 21st, 2008 06:44

The game is simple. Using his body and a black leotard alone, our mime expert M. Mattius Kaufman will recreate the cover of a classic album from the past few decades of popular recorded music. You have 30 seconds to guess the title and type it into the box; if you get stuck, you can skip to the next sleeve, or hit "replay" to see the clip again.
If you get stuck, here are the answers. And, in May 2010, we launched this game's sequel, Scene And Not Heard, where M. Kaufman turns his talents to classic scenes from cinema. Try your hand at that one here.

This is the 'game' equivalent of Elaine Page - pointless, annoying, and fucking pathetic.

This game rocks! Number 20 is worth waiting for...
Nov 21, 2008 9:15pm
I was far too close to seeing your cock there for my liking Kaufman. Are you coming here for the 13th of December's Christmas show?
Nov 24, 2008 10:09am
Dang, knew the artists better than the album titles!
Nov 24, 2008 2:27pm
This is fucking brilliant. Forget cracking the Enigma, it is for precisely this purpose that Alan Turing spent the whole of the Second World War in a potting shed on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. As of this moment the internet is complete. Bravo. Have yourselves a nice cup of tea.
Nov 24, 2008 2:43pm
Hoping that you post the answers. There are a few here that have me stumped!
Nov 24, 2008 2:55pm
Hi Gretsch,
Give us a week or two and I'll post the answers.
Cheers.

Every six months or so it seems I get the unrequested treat of naked Kaufman. if i'm really lucky he'll slam his little fella in a fridge door. I am blessed.
Nov 24, 2008 4:55pm
You used to get naked for me too, Faulky, d'you remember?
Nov 25, 2008 9:19pm
The thing is, every clip looked like an "Everything But The Girl" album cover.
Nov 25, 2008 11:26pm
This is genius. I am genuinely scratching my head.
Nov 26, 2008 6:15pm
Great game, looks like it may have been as fun to make as it is to play, definitly getting my sibs in on this over the thanksgiving weekend, I have a feeling the more altered your senses are the more fun it is to play.
Nov 27, 2008 5:11pm

Nov 27, 2008 6:03pm

Nov 28, 2008 9:15am

All the wasted years of my youth spent staring at these LP covers...and I completely and utterly blanked! I need these answers, it's sticking in my craw.
Dec 1, 2008 12:09am
I never got any of the correct answers once I handed in my GCSEs.
To any casting directors out there: you wanna film Shane MacGowan's biopic? I'm your man, clearly, obviously. I can be contacted c/o this website

What an absolute waste of everyones time. You must be bonkers to find this of any interest. Go out and pick litter up from the streets and do something useful you buffoons.

In reply to Contientious Objector:
What like taking grammar and spelling lessons perhaps?
Dec 1, 2008 1:50pm
In reply to John Doran:
John Doran, I don't think the grammar and spelling were that bad. Now do us all a favour and take your pedantic comments elsewhere - imbocile.
Dec 2, 2008 1:23pm
