Keeley Forsyth has announced her third studio album, The Hollow.

Featuring 12 tracks, the follow-up to 2021's Limbs marks the UK artist's first release for FatCat subsidiary label 130701. It's partly influenced by the death in early 2023 of Forsyth's grandmother, Mary, who raised her from birth, while there are also contributions from saxophonist Colin Stetson and her good friend, the multi-instrumentalist Matthew Bourne. Speaking in a statement, Forsyth said: "With this track, I roamed, capturing vocals in different spaces, forging a connection as I sang. I imagined battling against an invisible force, facing down challenges, pressing on, determined to breathe in this. I chose to refuse to be shackled by the chains of language here, surrendering instead to the primal dance of my body's urges. My mouth moves in sync with the shallow breaths of my gut, and impulse guiding my every wordless utterance."

130701 will release The Hollow on May 10, 2024.
