Adrian Flanagan has shared a new remix of his debut single as Acid Klaus, 'Party Sized Away Day', by Pye Corner Audio operating under the alias Head Technician.

The unveiling of the remix, which you can listen to above, comes with news of Flanagan's first full headline tour as Acid Klaus. Called 'The Born Again Realist Tour', the run of dates follow on from a recent appearance opening for Roisin Murphy at The Royal Albert Hall, which tQ reviewed here.

Looking ahead to the tour and new material, Flanagan said: "I'm currently recording/writing and researching my next album which will be a fictionalised concept record based on the '90s Christian acid house cult who were based in Sheffield called The 9 O'Clock Service. They were backed by The Church of England as an 'initiative' to bring younger adults to the church. I've always been fascinated by the story since I was a kid. It's two parts Manson Family, one part acid house – and a big bag of ecstasy, dancing, sleaze and Bible readings! I expect it'll be the album that suddenly sees me 'disappear', which is a win-win situation for everyone. I'm going to be road-testing tracks from the second album on the tour. Let me hear you say hallelujah!"

Along with his live collective, Flanagan will perform at Chesire's Bluedot festival this weekend; Wilderness in Oxfordshire and Cumbria's Solfest in August; and French festival Covenanza in September, before headline tour dates begin in October. Find the full list of upcoming dates here.
