The 11-track LP includes collaborations with Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten and poet Lemn Sissay

Leftfield, the solo project of UK artist Neil Barnes, is to release his first album since 2015 later this year.

This Is What We Do takes in 11 tracks in total, and includes contributions from Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten and a longtime Leftfield collaborator in poet Lemn Sissay. Barnes worked on the record, which follows 2015's Alternative Light Source, in the wake of his recovery from a cancer diagnosis. You can watch a video for lead track 'Pulse' above.

Barnes formed Leftfield together with Paul Daley in 1990, and the duo continued to record and play live together under the name until calling it quits in 2002. Barnes later revived the project as a solo effort in 2010.

Virgin will release This Is What We Do on December 2, 2022.
