Michaela Melián - Baden-Baden
This sounds fantastic. She’s made three albums and they are all of the highest artistic and musical quality. She’s an artist from Munich and she does visual art and music together, and all of the music she has released has had something to do with her visual art. Her exhibitions are usually in the context of something political. She picks a theme and then makes the art around it, plus the music. But I think the music stands up for itself too. For a lot of visual artists, when they do music it's okay, but with her, the music is outstandingly great. Baden Baden really works as an album too; all three of them do. She used to be in a band called F.S.K. with Thomas Meinecke - you might not know him in the UK but he's quite famous here in Germany as well. And she is now a professor of arts at a University in Hamburg actually.
