Kode9 And Burial Step Up For 'Fabriclive 100'
Christian Eede , August 15th, 2018 15:54

The two artists have been tapped up to produce the last ever mix in the long-running compilation series

The Fabriclive compilation series will this year come to a close, bowing out on its 100th edition, and Kode9 and Burial have been enlisted to produce the mix.

The tracklist for the mix will not be revealed until the day of release, and it will be made available in mixed format on CD and digitally. An alternate version featuring full unmixed tracks from the compilation will be released across four plates of vinyl sometime in October or November. The mix clocks in at 74 minutes in total.

A press release accompanying Fabriclive 100's announcement offers more information: "The mix reaches into obscure corners and a disorienting range of tempos across its 37 tracks. Featuring artists from Africa, China, South America and Japan as well as the Europe and US, the mix draws from gqom, juke and footwork to trance, jungle and grime, as well as a wealth of material that defies categorisation."

fabric confirmed plans to end both of its long-running compilation series earlier this year. One more edition of their fabric compilation series is still forthcoming, though the DJ behind the mix has not yet been confirmed.

Fabriclive 100 is the first mix Kode9 and Burial have produced together since an outing for Mary Anne Hobbs' final BBC Radio 1 show in 2010. For more information on the compilation, head here.

fabric will release Fabriclive 100 on September 28, 2018.
