The Museum Of London will be hosting a Festival Of Radical Fun on October 7, with a host of activities including a contribution from us here at tQ.

The Fallen Women, the world's greatest Fall karaoke band, will be bringing their live show, in which you can try your hand at being their Mark E Smith, to the festival at 7.30pm. tQ head honcho John Doran will then be providing a DJ set.

Elsewhere there will be installations and art lasting the entire day, from artist Nicholas Mortimer and designer Joseph Popper's 'Scene Everything' installation which envisions a future London cityscape with help from attendees, to an interactive game from The Decorators titled 'If Only A Table', which explores how the act of sharing a meal shapes our social interactions.

The artist Barry Sykes will be running regular laughter yoga sessions, and Ruth Beale will run a 'School For Commoners', with classes on topics from whittling to parkour.

Simran Randhawa of the excellent Gal Dem will be hosting a zine-making workshop, while the 'Restart Project', a social enterprise will be encouraging people to bring along broken appliances and learn how to fix them.

The Festival of Radical Fun is part of the Museum of London's City Now City Future season, as well as being part of the Fun Palace movement's 'Weekend Of Action'.

Lauren Parker, City Now City Future curator, said: "We’re excited to welcome artists, communities and organisations from all over London to take over the entire museum. We have a fantastic programme that invites everyone to come and participate, be part of changing our city for the better, and have radical fun."
