Festival will host a showcase from Nawa Recordings

Birmingham's Supersonic Festival has confirmed a new raft of names for this year's event with a showcase from the Nawa Recordings label leading the way.

A label run by multi-instrumentalist Khyam Allami, bringing together musicians of a number of disciplines from the Arab world, taking in avant-garde jazz, psychedelia, electronics and more, Allami will play at the festival as well as Nadah El Shazly, Two Or The Dragon and Kamilya Jubran / Wasl.

Also added to the lineup today are Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Laniakea, Grey Hairs, Big Joanie and Flowers Must Die. They all join an excellent bill which already includes Anna von Hausswolff, Colin Stetson, Jenny Hval, Princess Nokia, Zonal, Richard Dawson and lots more.

Supersonic Festival returns from a year out this year and takes place in Birmingham from June 16-18. For tickets and all the details, head here.
