Producer L.A. Reid has said that a new A Tribe Called Quest album will be released in the future.

Speaking on the Rap Radar podcast, Reid says: "We have an A Tribe Called Quest album coming. I'm really excited about that." He goes on to reveal that the recording took place before Phife Dawg passed away earlier this year, and that the whole group is included.

He also reveals that it will be coming "very soon," describing it as "really something special. It's one of the things that I'm most excited about of everything we're working on.” The album would mark the group's first since 1998's The Love Movement.
