The Quietus Hour: Episode 15 Of Our Radio Programme

Luke's sabbatical continues so our pal Natalie Sharp once again took over his role: enduring John Doran's senior twilight rambling

The heat really starts getting to presenters Natalie Sharp and John Doran (not to mention producer Seb White) this week as The Quietus Hour descends into near chaos, and all because of bloody coconut water. In what must be a world record Doran meanders off piste within the first 60 seconds and starts babbling like your maiden aunt on space cakes. Still the baking temperatures are a good accompaniment to fine new music by Goat, Låpsley, Shura, Blood Orange, Lone Taxidermist, Joni Haastrup, Unloved, Tamer Abu Ghazaleh and Shura.

The educationally sub-normal chat deals with raw chocolate brownies that look like Soreen malt loaf that's been dipped in glitter and used as a door stop; memories of watching Trainspotting for the first time; and why Supernormal is brilliant, not to mention a fiendish persuader.
