At the end of last year, London promoters Colony, who'd run a neat line in excellent nights around the capital across the preceding five years, opted to call it a day. A sad development, though more positively the organisers CB and Tengui stated in their final email out that they felt they'd "genuinely said what we wanted to say", via parties with Plex, BleeD and, last September, a Colony vs. The Quietus night featuring several artists of brain-scrambling hue.

With their final party having taken place in early December, they've now sent out one last transmission to the world - a colossal, two-and-a-half hour mix from Tengui and CB taking in influences, some of the sorts of varied music you'd expect to have heard at a Colony night, including a fair scattering of jungle and hardcore (though we're warned that there's "no house/techno in sight") and a few curveballs along the way. "We wish you a smooth and pleasant journey into the conjoined, ever-mutating abyss(es) of the past, the present and the future as we duly doff our hats and take a bow," say they.
